Director of Human Resources

Purpose of the Job:
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. The Director manages all aspects of the organization’s human resources, including talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, succession planning, training and development, compensation, and compliance. 

Reports to:
President

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to align human resource goals with organization’s goals, and executes strategy related to recruiting, hiring, retention, training and development.
  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring the right candidates and management of human capital.
  • Oversees, plans, develops, and implements human resource policies, procedures, and employee surveys.
  • Works closely with the Human Resource Manager and staff on the administration of human resource activities including compensation, benefits, employee relations, disciplinary matters and disputes, performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Oversees daily operations of the human resources department and manages the staffing for the department.
  • Develops and implements departmental budget.
  • Tracks human resource metrics to analyze the performance of organizational goals and departmental initiatives.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

Trade Compliance Program Manager

Purpose of the Job: Develop, maintain, and support S3’s Trade Compliance Program.

Reports to: Director of Trade Compliance & Logistics

Duties and Responsibilities:

Developing and supporting Trade Compliance Program includes:

Definition: “Trade Compliance Program” is a series of programs (includes, but not limited to Export Compliance Program, Import Compliance Program, ITAR program) and policies that govern and define Trade Compliance operations and impact other business functions for the purpose of conducting business in compliance with the U.S. laws and regulations.

  • Creating and conducting TC training and educational sessions (annual and on-demand) for various business functions.
  • Creating strong audit program with timelines and schedules that will include:
    1. Conducting internal and external audits to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions and solutions.
    2. *Internal audit” means auditing Trade Compliance and Logistics operations.
    3. “External audit” means auditing other business functions’ processes to assure compliance with policies and procedures outlined in the Trade Compliance program.
    4. External audit will also include auditing
    5. 3rd parties service providers (freight forwarders, brokers, etc.)
    6. Creating audit metrics, reports, projections such as Gap Matrix and Remedy plans.
  • Supporting Director of Trade Compliance and Logistics in various cross-functional project development and kick off venues to represent Trade Compliance Department, as well as prepare and introduce the materials to the Trade Compliance team for further operational/transactional execution.
  • Preparing Technical Assistance Agreements (“TAA”) and supporting TAA compliance from the project’s/agreement’s cradle to grave.
  • Participate in various Continuous Improvement initiatives (internal and cross-functional) to support other business functions with actions that include but not limited to:
    1. Developing processes to improve operational efficiencies.
    2. Preparing all company letters, letters of explanation, policies, and other types of communication when required by the business.
  • Research new and /or more complex regulations and requirements to support the Trade Compliance team and the rest of the business functions. It may include but not limited to:
    1. Submitting CCATS, CJs, and Advisory Opinions.
    2. Assisting with VSD compliance if/when necessary.
    3. Prepare and/or assist with preparing complex licenses.
Support Trade Compliance and Logistics team with certain day-to-day tasks when required.

This position will/must be trained to know and support day-to-day TC operations (classification, licensing, order review etc) to understand the systems, metrics, and overall work scope to be able to successfully evaluate, build, implement, and enforce S3’ Trade Compliance Program.

Requirements:

  1. Strong knowledge of U.S. Export regulations. Good knowledge of U.S. Import regulations.

Repair Station Quality Specialist

Purpose of the Job: The Quality Specialist is responsible for all assigned inspection and quality duties.

Reports to: Director of Quality

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform final inspection of subcontracted units
• Performs Return-to-Service tasks for subcontracted units
• Address and resolve quality issues
• Perform internal audits in accordance with Internal Audit Program
• Perform external audits on contractors as assigned
• Assisting warehouse specialists in the verification of customer and vendor paperwork upon receipt of parts
• Liaison between the quality department and the component repair team as needed
• Actively participate in maintaining the Quality Management System document related to subcontracted units
• Maintain company records as required by the quality and export compliance systems under the direction of the DOQ.
• Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Director of Quality

Requirements:
• 3-5 years of relevant Inspection and/or quality experience, preferable in Aviation Maintenance or Repair Station operations
• Good communication skills

Account Sales Manager
Purpose of the Job:

Develop and manage sales by servicing existing customers and targeting new prospects.

Reports to:

VP of Sales

Purpose of the Job:

Repair Station Quality Inspector
Purpose of the Job:

The Repair Station Quality Inspector is responsible for performing assigned inspection duties. Each Inspector will be limited to specific inspection(s) based on his/her qualifications.

Reports to:

Chief Inspector

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring all inspections are properly performed and recorded and all records are properly executed.
  • Certification of Piece Parts
  • Controlling security and access to technical publications.
  • Maintaining strict organization of the technical library (OEM(s)’, Authorities’, and Repair Station’s Technical Publications).
  • Liaises with Technical Data providers on ensuring the possession of the current Technical Data before performing work.
  • Issuing, revising, and updating internal Repair Station’s technical publications.
  • Issuing internal Temporary Revisions and incorporating them into their respective manuals.
  • Merges the library contents into the ERP system and/or revise the data in the ERP system.
  • Reviews current revisions of manuals when received and inventories the contents and revision levels of all pages of the Manuals against, for example, the LOEP – List of Effective Pages.
  • Communicates information regarding revisions to respective users.
  • Archiving Work Order Packages
  • Manages the Repair Station’s Calibration Program.
  • Provides Administrative support for the Chief Inspector (e.g. issuing PO(s) for waste material)
  • Provides Support to the AS9110 approval, as needed.
Requirements:
  • Familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment used within his/her area of responsibility.
  • Understanding the current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations and procedures established by the manufacturer of the article(s) being inspected.
  • Possesses either an FAA Airframe, or Airframe/Powerplant, or be eligible for a Repairman certificate upon taking the position (for final inspection inspectors).
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in aviation maintenance or Repair Station operations.
Technician
Purpose of the Job:

Performs maintenance and alterations on the articles the Repair Station is authorized to work on.

Reports to:

Group Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs maintenance and/or alterations on aircraft parts in accordance with Component Maintenance Manuals, Technical Orders, or the equivalent
  • Assures that prior to use, tooling or test equipment requiring calibration is not out of date and is in serviceable condition
  • Makes entries in the ERP system which tracks work accomplished
  • Places orders for the parts needed for repair or overhaul into the ERP system
  • When authorized on the Roster, performs in-process inspections
  • Assures consumables are not beyond shelf life if applicable
Requirements:
  • Prior Military or Civilian experience is desired in maintenance working the class of parts the Repair Station processes on; e.g. Actuators, Brakes, Wheels, Valves, Electrical Parts, Electronic/Avionics, Landing Gear, Hydraulics, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Fuel
  • Associates degree in a technical area or an FAA Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant is desired
  • Ability to use various, basic measurement and inspection equipment such as calipers, multimeters, dial gauges, and micrometers
Training:

Quality Manager
Purpose of the Job:

Assist the Director of Quality in implementing and maintaining the company’s quality system. Acts as the Director of Quality back up as needed.

Reports to:

President

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. To ensure conformance to AS9110 requirements and standards under the direction of the DOQ.
  2. Actively participate in maintaining the Quality Manuals and all associated documents.
  3. Work alongside the DOQ with the Internal Audit and Corrective Action programs for quality systems.
  4. Help train personnel on quality standards and requirements.
  5. Support the DOQ with customer returns and vendor claims.
  6. Work with receiving and shipping inspection and quality control functions as needed.
  7. Identify discrepant parts and generate non-conformance reports and initiate corrective actions as required by the DOQ.
  8. Assist the DOQ with Vendor Quality Surveys/Audits for vendor approval.
  9. Maintain approved vendor list and quality history under the direction of the DOQ.
  10. Help ensure required publications are kept current.
  11. Monitor shelf life and life limited products to help ensure they are properly documented and stored.
  12. Monitor scrap program and ensure scrap documentation is properly maintained.
  13. Maintain company records as required by the quality and export compliance systems under the direction of the DOQ.
  14. Any other items that the DOQ may delegate in regards to maintaining the Quality System.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor degree and / or 5-7 years of related experience
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  3. Proficient in aircraft drawings and technical data
  4. Experience with ISO 9001:2015 preferrable AS 9110
